Collect

I'll collect pins

and memories and scars

for the rest of my life.

Some will be displayed,

some will fit in a box,

and some might get lost.

They will.

I lost everything.

My keys, my pins,

my sanity.

I'll collect pins

so I can wear them

on new scarves,

new collars,

for holidays

with new lovers

as long as I have the space,

even when it breaks my heart.
